Level 1 Helpdesk Engineer

Troppus IT & Management is a fast-growing managed services provider located in East Victoria Park. We are looking for a ‘switched on’ Level 1 Helpdesk Engineer with proven experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments.

The position offers a challenging role in a dynamic and friendly team environment. The successful candidate will be working with a team of support engineers to provide proactive desktop and server support for a range of business customers across multiple industries.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues over the phone
  • Triage incoming call to support the Service Coordinator and Head of Support Services, as required
  • Be a first point of contact for customers via phone support
  • Document client IT Infrastructure and procedures
  • Contact for customers via phone support
  • Setup and configuration of computers and peripheral equipment
  • Backup and Dashboard maintenance check up
  • Assist with pickups and deliveries
  • Assist with site installation as required
  • Provide assistance to other staff members as required
  • Assist with projects (new deployments, migrations and upgrades)
  • Review tickets that have been escalated to develop and awareness and understanding of how they are resolved
  • Participate in after hours on-call rotation rosters
  • Maintain suitable and timely logs and documentation for all hours and work done
  • Any other task or activity requested for which the incumbent has the skills and knowledge

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICTIONS:

  • Experience in Hardware and Microsoft/Apple Environment
  • Microsoft 365 experience
  • Basic Networking skill
  • Self-motivated and able to work quickly and efficiently without supervision
  • Organisational skills and ability to mentor junior team members
  • Strong work ethics, initiative and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • The ability to be a productive and collaborative team member
  • Strong organisational, time management and planning skills.
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Any certifications or vaccinations required for Client site visits
  • Acceptable National Police Clearance
  • Common SME routers & firewalls
  • Common Antivirus and Antimalware Solutions
  • Backup and DR Solutions
  • ConnectWise
  • SolarWinds RMM
  • Microsoft Certifications
  • CompTIA A+
  • MTA (Windows OS)

The remuneration package will be negotiated based on your relevant skills and experience.
