Level 2/3 Support Engineer


Troppus IT & Management is a fast-growing managed services provider located in East Victoria Park. We are looking for a ‘switched on’ Level 1/2 Support Engineer with proven experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments.

The position offers a challenging role in a dynamic and friendly team environment. The successful candidate will be working with a team of support engineers to provide proactive desktop and server support for a range of business customers across multiple industries.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 4 years industry experience as a Level 2/3 Support Engineer.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert or equivalent.
  • Cisco Certifications CCNA.
  • Excellent communications and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience configuring and administering MS Windows Servers.
  • Experience configuring and administering MS Exchange Servers.
  • Experience configuring and administering Azure solutions.
  • Experience configuring and administering MS Office365 solutions.
  • Experience implementing virtualisation solutions.
  • Experience configuring and administering Cisco switches and routers.
  • Self motivated and able to work quickly and efficiently without supervision.
  • Organisational skills and ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Strong work ethics, initiative and troubleshooting skills.
  • Australian Drivers License.
  • Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or NZ Citizen.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience configuring and administering:

  • Experience configuring and administering MS Windows Servers.
  • Experience configuring and administering Backup and DR Solutions.
  • Experience configuring and administering virtualisation solutions.
  • Common SME routers & firewalls.
  • Cisco switches and routers.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

  • Providing consulting services to customers.
  • Configure, support & provide administration service in the areas of hardware, software & networking.
  • Manage and mentor Junior Support Engineers.
  • Manage projects (new deployments, migrations and upgrades).
  • Providing on-site & remote IT & Communications support to clients.
  • Travel to work directly at project locations from time to time (this includes international, national and regional locations).

The remuneration package will be negotiated based on your relevant skills and experience.
